Receiving a government contract from a state agency is different than winning one from a Federal Agency. While our Federal Government has many rules and regulations that are strictly monitored (FAR), State agencies often have internal policy they must follow. These internal policies may differ from agencies to agency and drastically change from State to State. If you are unfamiliar with government contracting make sure you read all the fine print or hire a consultant (like LSI www.lsiwins.com) to help you understand the terms of the agreement. When you submit a proposal you are legally binding yourself to the proposed solution and the requirements they have set forth in their RFP.
