The big social-media question of 2011 is, Should I start using Google+? I can simplify the issues down to one question: Are your interests as important as your friends? If they are, Google+ provides at great way to interact with a range of people from pundits to photographers. You can see a categorization at RecommendedUsers. You'll find that people on Google+ are much more interactive than on Twitter or Facebook. If this dichotomy is too simple, I've created a decision tree to help you through the selection process of using Twitter, Facebook and Google+.

  Why should anybody decide? You can handle all three: google+, facebook and twitter. But what if I am involved in many more social networks?

  Cute, but oversimplified. I agree with Rosie in that the idea isn't to choose, but to have different ways to share (and as well, to give business different levels of analytics).
  
  As well, this graph focuses on technical functionality versus the premise behind each platform, and the type of communication you can have because of the technical differences.

  Hmmm. Kind of funny but why do people just want to be on one social network? Maybe you could add a question about how important their MMOSG are to them and if they would switch social networks if their games aren't integrated to the social network. Also, Twitter seems to be trivial in this tree. I don't think that reflects reality. Seems to me that Google+ is more of a competitor to Chatter and Yammer than Twitter and Facebook.

  Clever!! But I'm still not sold on Google +. I don't know how I will get all my followers over when I haven't even gotten an invite yet. : ( Apparently my friends (and I) aren't as important as our interest. : )
