View videosIt’s a common question amongst small business owners as they’re frequently pitched the benefits of local and group buying deals: Will it drive additional business? Here are some numbers that may help you decide.

Great Infographic. Although I've heard a fair amount about the downside of Groupon. I do believe that it requires a bigger strategy on the part of the business. This infographic can sure help in getting a better understanding of the big picture for a business owner. If the business owner does not have a plan for how to harvest the information from the consumers that come through the door based on the daily deal, it can result in big lost opportunity. For my clients, I try to put together a program that takes advantage of these tools to get people in the door but then using mobile, QR, SMS or proximity marketing, harvest this new business to keep them coming back and create customers or the long term. Moral of the story, if you just use daily deals to drive traffic for a one time purchase then that's what you should expect, a one time purchase (at a possible loss). Have a plan in place to maximize the benefits of the daily deal.
