A relationship marketer for over 25 years, Laura began her career as a high school journalism and English teacher, advising the yearbook (the original Facebook) and school newspaper (a precursor to blogs).

She’s also done stints as a corporate communications director, freelance journalist, and award-winning blogger. She’s authored three non-fiction books and contributed to several others.

Her Seattle-area company, Blogging Bistro, helps businesses maximize their social media marketing. Laura and her staff provide everything from brief consultations to turn-key packages in which they design, launch, manage – even write all the content for – their clients’ Web sites, blogs, and social networks.

Mentoring emerging writers and pre-adoptive parents energizes Laura, as does swimming, rollerblading, walking, photography, and camping with her family.

She lives in the Seattle area with her husband and their two sons.
