Began in 1980 as small cooking operation of Virginia Gourmet Peanuts. Selling mostly to friends and some mail order. In 1982 opened retail operation connected to cooking facility. Grew mail order and began wholesale marketing to gourmet and specialty shops. Had to expand building facilities six times over years to handle increase in sales and production.
In 2006, hired horticulturalist and began nursery operation. Now have 26 greenhouses where we grow mainly azaleas for retail and wholesale.
