Wayne is currently working on an engine company responding to over 2,000 emergency calls per year.
In addition to his normal assignments he has also served as one of the county's safetyofficers, a lead instructor for the departments C.E.R.T. program, serving on various disaster preparedness committees, public education and training for the community.
He is a State Certified Fire Officer, Certified CPR and First Aid Instructor,.Specialized training includes Heavy Rescue, Urban Search & Rescue, High Angle Rope Rescue, Swift Water Rescue, California Specialized Training Institute for Earthquake Management, National Fire Academy Incident Command Training and Hazardous Materials.
He is also founder and owner of Survival Skills & Co., a business specializing in Disaster Response Training, CPR and First Aid classes since 1991. Survival Skills & Co.has trained over 20,000 persons in their one-day Disaster Survival Skills program.
Wayne has authored the first Disaster Response Guide for Schools. Providing staff with safe, step by step practical rescue and lifesaving techniques. He is currently writing a book covering all aspects of emergency response to provide the latest in disaster response for civilians.
