Geri is president of Ventureneer, which connects values- driven small businesses with the knowledge they need to make the world a better place while thriving as businesses. She has her own blog, Vistas (http://www.ventureneer.com/vblog), where she shares the insights, strategies, and techniques that help values-driven organizations succeed -- both as businesses and as social-change agents.
Geri is a serial entrepreneur, Kauffman FastTrac facilitator for entrepreneurial training, and former adjunct professor of Entrepreneurship and Social Enterprise at The New School. She was a reviewer for the first Social Innovation Fund, part of the White House initiative to better fund nonprofits, and she headed marketing for Dow Jones Information Services. Geri is fundraising chair for the Praxis Housing Initiative.

May 19, 2011 - David, sage advice. Imagine all the good that could be done if all businesses wove themselves into the fabric of the community they do business in. Whether it is donating money or encouraging employees to volunteer there are so many ways to give back.
