Verus was formed in June 2005 when former Univest partner John Maus and Northwest Retail Partners founder Rob Andrews realized that their complementary backgrounds were a great match to deliver retail development projects for a core set of retail anchors. The two have long standing relationships with Home Depot, Kohl’s, Costco, Bed Bath & Beyond, Michaels, Sears, PetsMart, Borders Books and many others that form the basis of the company’s core development program. Verus currently has projects under development in Washington, Arizona, and Texas. The principals have completed projects in all the above states as well as Alaska, Colorado, Oregon, Idaho, New Mexico, and California.

VERUS Holdings, LLC (“VERUS” or “Company”) is a real estate development and investment firm based in Phoenix, Arizona. The Company’s business objective is the development of retail and office properties throughout the western United States that result in the generation of long-term, lease based cash flow streams. These projects are developed for ultimate sale to third parties or placement in the Company’s owned asset portfolio.
The Company’s focus is the development of (i) user driven commercial and retail properties on a build-to-suit basis, and (ii) multi-tenant, retail oriented properties with “in-fill” or “redevelopment” characteristics. The target sizes for VERUS’ developments and investments are $1-25MM for build-to-suits and $5-25MM for multi-tenant developments. These business lines will remain the core focus for the near term as they fit comfortably within the management strengths and capitalization of VERUS. Over the longer term, the company may expand both the size and scope of its development activities through the identification of new customers, market opportunities, and investment partners.
