I’m a worrier. And lately between piracy, the economy and pandemics, I’ve got plenty to worry about.

Of course there are plenty of smaller worries to keep me busy in lean news cycles, and that’s when my wife and I play What’s the Worst Case Scenario?

It goes like this:

Me - “Oh my God, our health insurance costs are going through the roof! We’re going to go bankrupt!! Also, the sky is falling!!!”

My wife - “OK, let’s play Worst Case Scenario. Yes, costs are going up, but we’re not really using Netflix, we can cut back on eating out, and maybe we don’t upgrade the computer in the office this year. OK?”

Me - “Ahhh… OK, that’s not so bad. Who wants cake?”

Anyway, the above cartoon came out of one of those discussions where I’m pretty sure my worst case scenario was the one being shown. Thankfully my wife calmed me down. (Ironically, that night I think the cake was devil’s food.)
