“Set a goal that scares you.”—The Bonnie Marcus Collection Rule. In an episode of Small Business RulesSM Bonnie Marcus revealed that she started her couture line of invitations and holiday cards when she was 8 months pregnant with her first child. Having worked for designer Diane Von Furstenberg, Bonnie combined her background in fashion with invitations to create trendy, fun and fashionable prints on cards for all occasions, tote bags and flip flops. Now her fashion forward designs are in over 1,000 retail locations like Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdales.

Bonnie I am so proud of you! It has been an honor to know you this last few years. Your story strikes a cord as I got married 14 years ago and couldnt find any invitations that matched my style. I ended up creating them after sourcing hand made papers at Kates Paperiere in NYC! If only your collections were available back then!!! Congrats

excellent profile! It's great to see you, Bonnie, and hear your story again. I love that you turned all of your employees into salespeople. What a brilliant idea.

What an excellent goal. When I first started the video I thought, "Not even close to what I do", meaning the wedding planning/cards idea. However, as we all know, great ideas come from every industry, every plane of society.
