I've been a huge fan of Inhabitat for over a couple years now and really appreciate all the hard work Jill and the editors put into the site. The content is always fresh and relevant. This video provided some great insight about your company, how you grew, and most of all, how you really formed such a powerful brand. I also run a website (with my parter Alice), and I think everything you said was right on point. Overnight success can take a couple years, but it really is an exciting journey. Keep up the great work! Look forward to watching you guys grow and succeed.

Awesome insight for those interested in the realities of creating a successful blog. Overnight success no, but in the case of Inhabitat (and their other sites) definitely work the effort.

Pretty amazing how so many folks are a part of Inhabitat and read it considering the humble origins when Jill first put it together.

I agree with Rebecca. I actually never thought about what our rule was but it makes so much sense.

Anyone can make a website but to make it profitable is so tough. I'm glad to be a part of a growing business in such an interesting field!

There's definitely a lot of sweat equity behind building a successful website. But it's worth it!

There's really no such thing as overnight success in business. Someone had to sweat. Nice video!

What an honor to now be part of Inhabitat! As a new member of the team, I am inspired by this video -- hearing a bit of the company's past truly gives me a sense of the incredible growth and development Inhabitat went through before I jumped on board.

When it comes to websites, I think people often don't realize how much work is going on behind the scenes. Working for Inhabitat I get to see most of this first hand, but I too often forget the work that it took to get us to where we are now. This is a very inspiring reminder. Thanks Jill!!
