finding a partner or investor

I feel, in this struggling economy, that my business needs an infusion of cash and fresh ideas...I have been trying to find an investor or partner and so far have only gotten contacted by scammers...can anyone give me some resources for finding a partner or investor or how I get the process started.

Fresh ideas don't necessarily require money. Look to find a mentor or professional in another field who you may bounce ideas off of. Try getting some of your customers to give you ideas by offering them a round table lunch forum where you act as a facilitator or moderator to direct the conversation. Create a board with members from other industries who will help you work through these tough times and beyond.
Investors can come in many shapes and sizes. Customers may be a good source to try or bounce the idea off other professionals who may have had experience with this. I would start with the local chamber of commerce in your area to see what help they may offer.

Here are a few resources we have used:

    http://www.fundinguniverse.com/

Or you may want to think about joining a group like this maybe: http://www.eonetwork.org/Pages/default.aspx
Just a couple ideas that come to mind...
    Good luck!

Business is tough all over ,but a partner is probley your fastest way to go broke you must know your business or you would not have it going now . my advice is to study your product and be honest in your dealings and present your product to the correct age group and dont be pushy but rather easy going and never show you are in need or you will lose your customers always be doing goor never complaine trust your self you will be fine BJ

What do you think?
