Most business ideas aren't unique; so, the door is always open for copycats to take away your market share. HopStop CEO Joe Meyer understands this dilemma with behemoth Google Maps breathing down his neck. He tells Business Insider Senior Editor Nicholas Carlson that in order for your business to succeed, you need to provide the best solution for the consumer. User feedback is also very important since you want to build your product to meet your customers' needs. "If you're thinking about your competitors all the time... then you're probably going to fall behind," says Meyer. "You're going to be more of a copycat instead of a leader."
