Gary Vaynerchuk, author of The Thank You Economy, shares his experience and advice on building a following on Twitter. In this segment, he talks about why the number of followers you have isn't the most important thing.

About The Thank You Economy: “This book could easily have been called The Humanization of Business or Manners Marketing…In The Thank You Economy, I tackle the issue of the ROI of social media and provide case studies. I think we wrote a much, much stronger book than I did with Crush It. When I say we, I mean the people in the social graph--the people that are living it." –Gary Vaynerchuk

Gary, fantastic advice like usual... but I can't help be noticed how exhausted you look. Passion is evident, but get some sleep! Daily Grape, Vayner Media, TYE Book and your family all need you on your a-game.

The advice you give here Gary makes perfect sense. Quality vs. quantity, as it should be. I'm amazed at the bragging rights people have, yet I always wonder if they really are connecting and/or really give a hoot about the faces behind these numbers. You manage to do this and others should take note and put forth that "effort' you always speak of ... it makes all the different. Thank you for being a beacon to small businesses ... all businesses. With kindness, Elena
