The 'Zandl 100', our hand-selected panel of thought leaders, provided up-to-the-minute consumer insights on the the economy, and what categories are the most likely to benefit from their first post-recession splurges. Three key highlights:
1. Almost half believe that things are getting better.
2. Employment picture is looking a little rosier with 65% feeling their job is secure or that job availability has improved.
3. Almost half are starting to loosen the purse strings selectively.
