Moving back in time, markeitng via real mail?

Have other companies noticed that email marketing is becoming almost dead due to spam filters? We get picked up as spam all the time, for years even before we started doing any email marketing. The spam companies are super shady (fact) and many of them block you, then try to get you to pay to be removed from their list or "whitelisted".

Due to this increasing trend of the inability to send email to clients, it seems that the logical marketing campaign would be a physical mailer, which I ***. I was wondering if other companies have noticed the same trend? We are also now having to rely on the phone (which is a good thing for building relationships, don't get me wrong) more and more to reach clients that we are unable to email.

    Matthew,
I have actually been trying to get into direct mail marketing. Seems like you have a better chance of people looking into your product. Although, still pros and cons exist in everything right? In the email, they can directly click on your website link, where as in physical mail they have to want to go to the website and type it in. I think it really comes down to if they need the product or service.

I would like to find out more ways to send mail (snail mail) to prospective clients...

Email marketing is great for cost saving for existing client base. Be sure you track who opens your email campaigns. If your customers don't open they don't know. So you can do direct mail advertising to reach those customers. Also have them put your from email address in the spam filters so they receive our email.

Direct mail marketing works for my clients. The secret is that it is ongoing to make a successful campaign. everyone looks at mail not everyone looks at email.

I agree fully that for many businesses, moving back to traditional mediums (print) is going to be THE way to be taken seriously. A well thought out approach of print & web working in unison is to get your message across what's needed. Email marketing, Facebook et al, has produced too much mental static to be effective.

    Hi Matthew!

I have passed your question on to the appropriate staff for resolution.

What do you think?
