It's not possible unless you're asked by American Express directly. These forums are all we have. I could be wrong and I know of at least one person on here who is both a small business owner and a poster - Joel Libava, the Franchise King.

Good question, Thomas. I wonder how the forum will develop. On one hand there is the "educational frontal attack method." Every day, few chosen experts are churning articles that students are supposed to read. (Have you turn the e-mail notification off yet?) On the other hand there is little what you can do with the "approved" study material. How do you sort through the articles, how do you keep some and block others, how do you track interesting individuals? And many more unresolved issues. —Oh, I have 460 characters remaining for this comment. It's good just for some classifieds ad. Did you also come across a "discussion" where a guy is selling his house? I forgot, …err I had no easy option, to save his discussion or his name into my connectodex. I am really curious how the forum will look like in 6 months. Be well, Jan
Hi Jan, I've been on the site since it's beginning and you ask excellent questions. There's few tools to do the kinds of tasks you write about, I'd love to see those. I also agree that the limit on replies is arbitrary and self-defeating.
In the past I've advocated to Amex to get sharper about what problems they're trying to solve for us. For instance, I would LOVE easier ways to get in touch with folks, see new ones join in certain industries b/c I like building sales partnerships through this site. No luck yet.
To Amex' defense, the site has gotten substantially better in the last six months - they listen to feedback and take it, though my impression is that their development queue is driven by factors outside our control. So while I'm not thrilled yet with the user interface/functionality, I LOVE the content and I see the trajectory of improvements as continuing and positive. Actually I'm most worried about how Amex makes $$ on this to support its massive investment. Best, Paul
