The one thing that frustrates me most about marketing is lack of access to my marketplace without spending an "arm and a leg". I know the market but don't know how to get to the right person. There is so much content and information out there, most people delete my message because they don't know who I am. Shouldn't there be a place for people to go where they can "request" information on services they need? The "shotgun" approach is not working for me.
What exactly do you mean by lack of access to your marketplace?
When you say most people delete my message because they don't know who I am, are you saying that they didn't opting to get your emails? Is so that is a huge issue because: 1) it's perceived and and may even be spam email. 2) they don't know who it's from and what value they will get by opening it.
Larry, Yes, you may want to add a sign-up box, and give away some needed information for their valuable contact info, thus starting the relationship development. Take a look at how I do it at www.FastMarketingPlan.com, that should give you a better way to get names and email addresses and build your credibility using emails with great valuable content.
