First Web Site and how did everithign started?

Earlier this month I wrote blog post about a very first website and how everything started. I would like to invite fellows Amex members to visit http://www.artversion.com/blog/very-first-website.html add comments, thoughts and start discussion.

    Hi Goran,

    I like the way your website is layout - specifically, the white color for content and the light color on navigation and for background color make this website looks elegant. That is the kind of 'look and feel' I like. It seems a little like this openforum web - primarily white and light gray color. Do you use WordPress? We just hired a web development company to develop a WordPress blog for our company's blog. We haven't launched it yet because we haven't put enought content yet. I think for this website that you launched, the background color for logo seems to dark. The 'black' background does not instill trust. If you use a light background, with a new logo, or my favorite - white background and new logo , I think it would be better.

    The bottom footer is really nice - professional and looks trsutworthy. Especially with the Adove logo add the trustworthyness. Dark gray is also good for the footer background.

    i also noticed that, your homepage has google PR rank 4 but your other page such as contact has zero in PR. I don't know why does that happen. Also the bandwidth seems low. It takes several seconds for me to go to another page. The left navigation java script is an excellent job. The black background color for navigation dropdown menu and the black header somehow make people discount your professional ability in color consultancy. I am not a graphic professional, just my $0.02. I tried to learn some graphic and branding so I that I know how to hire a right designer and that my graphic designer is doing a good job...

    also you can put phone number and request quote , (and perhaps contact us ) on top header. i think that will make a great difference on generating leads.
