According to the Fox Business news quoting WSJ sources: "SAN FRANCISCO -- Apple Inc. plans to launch a new iPhone this summer and is developing an iPhone that can be used on the type of network used by Verizon Wireless, The Wall Street Journal reported late Monday on its Web site. Verizon Wireless, which is majority-owned by Verizon Communication Inc.'s , uses a CDMA network, compared with the current iPhone, which uses AT&T Inc.'s GSM network. The CDMA iPhone will be manufactured by Taiwan-based Petragon, according to the Journal."
*My speculation* is that we will soon see the iPhoneHD come to light. It will essentially be the exact same form factor except with a full screen instead of a black border. This screen will probably be 720P 1280×720 a much higher resolution than it is now. Very likely enhancements will include a better camera, faster processor and more storage. It will be great to see this phone go to another carrier (Verizon). Apple needs to do something to combat the onslaught of cheaper and equally effective Android based phones.

In the near future we will be announcing compatibility with Google Nexus One, Palm Pre, Motorola Droid and other smart-phones as opposed to marketing it exclusively for the iPhone/iPod.
