Twitter was such a huge hit in its early existence that the social network often crashed and left its users in the dark. Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey was around during those hectic times and he tells Business Insider CEO Henry Blodget that it was a simple matter of communication that turned the site around. The Twitter team first coordinated internally to work out the problems they were seeing. Then, they reached out to their users. "We told them that 'We're having issues. It's going down. We're not really sure why but we are investing and figuring out why that is right now'," Dorsey says. Its users then realized that Twitter was attentive to the situation at hand and that they weren't being ignored.
