I don't think this infografic can really sport its title. It shows things that are not "social media" such as AOL IM (its a chat app) or twitter (its a microblogging platform, just like Tumblr). It includes Bing (a search engine), and it doesn't talk about Google Reader (which is, such as youtube or pinterest, a REAL social media).A social media is based upon the kind of media around which users gather.Even if, around the 1980, the meaning of "social media" had surely a different meaning, platforms such as G+ or Facebook shouldn't be shown in this one, as well as many others.Or, since the variety of "social" products included, it should have another title, for example: "History of the Business of the Social Platform". :)
