If finding money for your business has been a challenge, you may need to take a look at the emerging world of crowdfunding. Part social media and part funding, there are new websites popping up every day that make it easy for entrepreneurs to pitch crowdfunding communities to support their ventures. The feature on "kickstarter" was deceptive and an overstated "commercial" for what is essentially a for-profit business. The reality is that to produce an "attractive video" to post can be more expensive then the pledge amount sought. Also, Kickstarter offers "0" help and the business must find ways to attract people to their website site. If you do get funded both Kickstarter and Amazon Payments take a nice chunk your proceeds as servicing fee. This program is overstated and "Your Business" should not have colored it with such bias without at least discussing the fact that must projects don't reach their pledge goal and then are simply dropped!
